Exeter Game Lodges are situated in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve and are ranked amongst the top of the world’s finest Game Lodges. Visitors have a choice of the following four luxury lodges: KIRKMANS KAMP Overlooking the Sand River, Kirkman’s Kamp has spectacular views of the unspoilt wilderness as far as the eye can see. This historic and famous camp was originally built in the early 1920’s and named in honour of W.Harry Kirkman, one of South Africa’s foremost conservationists. The colonial atmosphere of gracious style and luxury has been retained, and one steps back in time upon entering the old homestead, which now serves as the recreational hub of the camp. The large lounge, decorated in 1920’s style, leads through double French doors onto rolling lawns that provide a velvety contrast to the wild and tumbling bush surrounding the camp RIVER PRIVATE LODGE Formerly known as Exeter Main Lodge, this exciting lodge has eight individually designed and decorated ultra luxury suites nestled in the shade of a grove of Ebony trees on the banks of the perennial Sand River. With their own private patios and decks, these Suites provide magnificient views of the savannah and game frolicking in the river. Magnificently positioned lounges and dining areas overlook the Sand River and compliment the finest cuisine. Teak furniture, deep sofas covered in rich linens and ornaments from the furthest corners of Africa create a welcoming and relaxed ambience. DULINI LODGE Embraced in a leafy canopy of ebony trees, Dulini comprises of six traditionally thatched suites gracing the banks of the Mabrak River. Each Suite is individual in character ranging from the old world charm of the Classic Safari Suites; a marriage of African and colonial elegance in the Africa Heritage Suites; and ethnic tranquillity in the African Contemporary Suites. The subtle blend of pan-African art and the traditional safari theme, achieves an enchantingly eclectic style epitomizing the African Renaissance. LEADWOOD LODGE Pivoting on a well-wooded bank of the Sand River, Leadwood Lodge brings a new dimension to the African safari experience. Cocooned in natural bush where Jackalberry and Leadwood trees lend their shade, the four suites are distanced to offer solitude and serenity. Each Suite has a private eternity edge pool, wrapped around by a wooden deck and cupped by a granite wall, which comes alive with a fine spray.
