Timbavati Game Reserve

Gomo Gomo Game Lodge is a private and intimate camp situated on the banks of the Nhlaralumi River in the prestigious Timbavati Nature Reserve, which was home to the original pride of the famous white lions.  Timbavati now forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park with a common unfenced border.

The traversing area is approximately 12000 hectares (29000 acres) of the reserve offering guests varied landscapes with an excellent possibility of coming face to face with the “ Big 5 “ (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) and numerous other mammals and bird species in their natural habitat.

Shaded by immense Jackalberry and Weeping Boerbean Trees, the camp comprises of five fully furnished, thatched chalets and four East African Style Luxury Tented Accommodation built in traditional style all with en-suite facilities.

Central facilities include a massive viewing deck and splash pool with a 180-degree view of the river shaded by a century old Leadwood tree. 

The cuisine is a combination of African and Western influences with the focus on exceptional quality. Breakfast and lunch are served on the deck in an open thatched-roofed lapa, while dinner is served traditional African style around a log fire in one of the two bomas.

At night the camp is lit by kerosene flares and storm lanterns which contribute to the true bush safari ambience and experience.
