Jaci’s Safari Lodge &

Jaci’s Tree Lodge

Madikwe Game Reserve

Jaci’s Lodges are situated in the malaria free Madikwe Game Reserve which boasts 75000 hectares of big five territory.  Guests can also expect to see Wild Dog, both black and white Rhino, extensive plains game, including Sable, Gemsbok, Springbok and Giraffe, as well as over 340 species of birds.

Jaci's Safari Lodge has only eight rooms and the exclusive two bedroomed Nare Suite.  All are built using shaggy thatched roofs and canvas walls to create a "tented" feel. Each room has an open plan bathroom with a hand built "rock" bath and outdoor "safari" shower.

A private wooden viewing deck at the entrance overlooks a small stream where animals and birds come to drink.

The Main Lodge is curved around an ancient Termite mound and includes a spacious lounge, open plan kitchen/dining room, and curio shop and upstairs bar.  Meals can be enjoyed in the enclosed boma or under the stars at a bush braai after the excitement of game viewing.

Jaci’s Safari Lodge – Nare Suite bedrooms each have open plan bathrooms, with a hand made “rock” bath and outdoor “safari” shower. A wooden viewing deck overlooks a fabulous water hole and encompasses a private swimming pool.

The lounge and outdoor dining areas overlook a wooden viewing deck and an active water hole encompassing a private swimming pool.  Equipped with a self contained kitchen, the chefs can prepare meals for guests in the luxury of their own retreat.

Equipped with a private game vehicle and professional guide, guests are assured of a bush breakaway to be remembered and repeated.

Jaci's Tree Lodge has only eight "Tree Houses", each of which encompasses a giant Tamboetie or Leadwood Tree. Each “Tree House” is constructed amongst the riverine forest on stilts, up to 4 meters from the ground.  In these spacious “Tree Houses” – built utilizing a combination of rosewood, thatch and stacking doors – the surroundings are invited in. An open plan, en-suite bathroom with an enormous stone bath and outdoor “Jungle Shower” allows guests to enjoy the forest environment.

Raised wooden walkways, suspended in the forest canopy and lining the banks of the Marico River, connect with the extraordinary Main Lodge and its unique facilities.
