Londolozi Private Game Reserve

Sabi Sands Game Reserve

Set in the heart of the game-rich Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, the 14 000 hectare (34 580 acres) Londolozi Private Game Reserve is an African Safari Adventure second-to-none.

Londolozi offers four private safari camps and one lodge,
each with a riverside location:

Bateleur Camp has eight luxurious chalets and four gracious suites. All the chalets and suites have a plunge pool and wooden decks, with air-conditioning and en suite bathrooms with bath and separate shower.

The focal point of each luxurious bathroom is a capacious tub. The essence of relaxation is to gaze from your bath over uninterrupted views of the surrounding bush.

The sitting and dining area at Bateleur Camp offer awe-inspiring views of the Sand River. Four rondavels, which date back to the original Sparta Hunting Camp, are a special feature.

One is a traditional safari bedroom and the others have been converted into a museum, a well-stocked wine cellar and a library (with Internet access). Historical photographs of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve add to the congenial atmosphere of the spacious deck, which incorporates an ancient Ebony Tree. There is a large lodge swimming pool, a large boma (reeded enclosure) and an excellent African craft shop/gallery.

Tree Camp takes its name from the ancient Ebony Tree shading the camp.

Each of the six air-conditioned luxurious suites has its own cascading plunge pool, outdoor shower and en suite bathroom featuring a huge, inviting tub. The private decks with plunge pools and outdoor shower overlook the lush banks of the
Sand River.

Small and exclusive, Tree Camp is surrounded by large shady trees and offers wonderful views of the Sand River. There is a gracious living area with a guest library.

The main sitting area leads out onto a wooden deck, raised on high stilts off the ground. Elegant candlelit dinners are enjoyed in the boma (open air dining area). There is a large swimming pool set in the camp’s garden. Guests are welcome to visit Londolozi Bateleur Camp’s curio shop and interpretive centre.

Londolozi Founders Camp consists of five chalets and one suite secluded in dense riverine forest overlooking the Sand River.

The air-conditioned chalets with their wooden decks feature a personal bar and en suite bathroom with bath, shower and twin hand basins. The suite has a stone-laid outdoor shower as a refreshing additional feature.

The dining area at Founders Camp overlooks the Sand River, with a walkway leading to a thatched viewing deck where guests can relax while game and bird viewing.

The boma (reeded enclosure) is adjacent to the camp’s swimming pool. There is a covered sitting area, with a well-stocked drinks cabinet. Guests from Founders Camp are welcome to visit Londolozi Bateleur Camp’s African craft shop and interpretive center.

Londolozi Pioneer Camp is west of Founders Camp and consists of three suites and three chalets all of which are furnished in classic safari style. The suites have a fireplace and personal bar.

The en-suite bathrooms have baths, twin hand basins, w.c, indoor and outdoor shower. The three riverview chalets are air-conditioned and have an en-suite bathroom with baths, outdoor showers and personal bars.

The intimate guest area at Pioneer Camp provides a unique interactive experience with the kitchen, sitting and dining areas all being open plan.

The Camp has a swimming pool and boma (open air dining area) where evening meals are enjoyed under the stars. Guests are most welcome to visit Londolozi Bateleur Camp’s curio shop and interpretive centre.

Safari Lodge has six intimate luxury chalets in dense riverine vegetation. Each chalet has air-conditioning and a ceiling fan. The en suite bathrooms feature a large bath and indoor shower plus a private outdoor shower. Each chalet has a wooden teak deck.

Safari Lodge is known as the "Best Kept Secret" of the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. The lodge is nestled in a secluded and remote location along the Msuthu River in the south of the private reserve.

Guest areas consist of a sitting area, outdoor deck, dining area, boma (reeded enclosure) and swimming pool, all of which are surrounded by lush vegetation.
